Ultrasmall Alloy Nanozyme for Ultrasound- and Near-Infrared Light-Promoted Tumor Ablation

چکیده

The therapeutic effect of chemodynamic therapy (CDT) is significantly restricted by the stern reaction conditions and slow rate Fenton (pH 3-4). Herein, we report an ultrasmall trimetallic (Pd, Cu, Fe) alloy nanozyme (PCF-a NEs) possessing dynamic active-site synergism, thus exhibiting a cascade glutathione peroxidase (POD) mimicking activities in circumneutral pH. PCF-a NEs exhibit photothermally augmented POD property high photothermal conversion efficiency (62%) for synergistic tumor cell apoptosis. In addition, ultrasound can also enhance mass transfer at active catalytic sites NEs, turn accelerating Fenton-like tumor-specific CDT. This work provides strategy engineering nanozymes bioinspired way amplification intratumor reactive oxygen species response to external stimuli, demonstrating enhanced inhibition growth vitro vivo.

Imager that combines near-infrared diffusive light and ultrasound.

We introduce an imaging technique that combines complementary features of ultrasound and near-infrared diffusive light imaging. We achieve the combined technology experimentally by mounting an ultrasound array together with multiple laser source and optical detector fibers upon a hand-held probe. The technique is demonstrated with tissue phantoms wherein both acoustic and optical sensors image ...

Quantitative Comparison of Analytical solution and Finite Element Method for investigation of Near-Infrared Light Propagation in Brain Tissue Model

Introduction: Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) is an imaging method in which light source and detector are installed on the head; consequently, re-emission of light from human skin contains information about cerebral hemodynamic alteration. The spatial probability distribution profile of photons penetrating tissue at a source spot, scattering into the tissue, and being released at ...

Near-infrared light photoacoustic ophthalmoscopy

We achieved photoacoustic ophthalmoscopy (PAOM) imaging of the retina with near-infrared (NIR) light illumination. A PAOM imaging system with dual-wavelength illumination at 1064 nm and 532 nm was built. We compared in vivo imaging results of both albino and pigmented rat eyes at the two wavelengths. The results show that the bulk optical absorption of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) is on...

Con_A-CNT (Carbone Nanotube) conjugate with Short Wave near- Infrared (SWIR) laser ablation for tumor therapy

Using the characteristics of T cell mitogen called lectin protein from the jack-beam Canavalia ensiformis Concanavalin A (Con_A) with dual activities, cytotoxicity and immunomodulation, we have shown it has a therapeutic effect on hepatoma. Injection of Con_A can eradicate the established malign tumor, because Con_A can induce tumor cell autophagic, cell-programmed death, as well as activate th...

A sialic acid-targeted near-infrared theranostic for signal activation based intraoperative tumor ablation.

Agents enabling tumor staging are valuable for cancer surgery. Herein, a targetable sialic acid-armed near-infrared profluorophore (SA-pNIR) is reported for fluorescence guided tumor detection. SA-pNIR consists of a sialic acid entity effective for in vivo tumor targeting and a profluorophore which undergoes lysosomal acidity-triggered fluorogenic isomerization. SA-pNIR displays a number of adv...
